United States: Increase of casinos revenues in 2012

The year 2012 marks the recovery of the activities of casino games in the United States according to the American Gaming Association figures. This association gathers 513 not tribal casinos issued from the 23 members states. These casinos brought in income $ 37.3 billion in 2012, or an increase of 4% in comparison with the previous year. More than 76 million of American played in casinos in 2012 and the most popular table games are blackjack, Roulette Pro, poker and craps. Last year, casinos of theses states gathered in the AGA added up 853,000 slot machines put into service.

The State of Kansas, Maryland, Maine and New York are among these which knew an increase of casino income whereas New Jersey was the State having known the strongest decrease in 2012. The casinos of the State were penalized by the passage of cyclone Sandy, especially in Atlantic City where casinos revenues decreased of 8% to more than $ 3 billion.
