Loto-Québec: Green light for alcohol consumption in casino

The attendance rate of casinos in Quebec felt to 17% against 21% a few years ago while in the United States, this rate is around 25% of the local population. In order to give a boost to the attendance of the casinos of the province, the Quebec government has given to Loto-Québec the possibility of serving alcohol in the gaming rooms of its four casino in Quebec.

But unlike in the United States, where casinos serve alcohol at tables, alcohol consumption in the casinos of the province is limited to the bar and the restaurant. Loto-Québec will have to compete again with the other casinos in Quebec and its neighborhood after the Minister of Finance Nicolas Marceau gave his agreement. But its application will have to wait for regulations change. From now on, amateurs of casino games like Black Jack Live, poker or roulette can consume alcohol in Loto-Québec establishments.
